This Privacy Policy explains how ProTOK collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the ProTOK mobile application and website ("Service"). By using ProTOK, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect the minimum data required to operate the app effectively. The types of information we process include:

• Account Information: Email, device ID, and profile details you choose to provide.
• App Usage Data: App activity.
• Encrypted Chat Messages: All chat content is end‑to‑end encrypted on your device before reaching our servers. We cannot read or decrypt your messages.

2. End‑to‑End Encrypted Chat

Your chat messages are encrypted on your device using symmetric encryption. Only you and the conversation partner hold the keys. ProTOK and administrators cannot decrypt or access message content. We only store:

• Encrypted message data (ciphertext)
• Encrypted symmetric keys
• Metadata required for message delivery (timestamps, sender ID)

3. Data Retention

We retain encrypted chat messages for 12 months before they are automatically deleted. Nutrition logs and other non-chat data may be retained longer unless you request deletion.

4. Hosting & Storage

ProTOK is hosted on Firebase (Google Cloud). Firebase provides industry‑leading security, including encryption in transit and at rest. Your images, data, and encrypted messages are stored securely in Firebase.

5. Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand overall app performance and improve your experience. Analytics do not capture chat content or sensitive personal data.

6. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the ProTOK service
• Enable encrypted chat with your coach or clients
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Enhance your nutrition tracking experience

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except:

• Service providers such as Firebase (necessary for app functionality)
• As required by law

8. Your Rights

• Request deletion of your account and data
• Request a copy of the data associated with your account
• Withdraw consent and stop using the app

10. Changes to the Privacy Policy
